Anti-Virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus
LimeWire PRO for Windows integrates anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus to scan each file you download using LimeWire. Anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus checks each download and deletes files which are identified as viruses.
Like the Dangerous Downloads checker, anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus is designed to improve your LimeWire downloading experience by protecting you from harmful files.
The Warning dialog appears the first time a virus is found; you can select to not automatically show this pop-up. However, you can always see the warning if you click the 
in the Download tray (View > Downloads).
You can see the status of your downloads in the Download tray:

A file in the Download tray will be grayed out if anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus found a virus or couldn't check the file:

Note: It's best to wait until anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus finishes updating its virus definitions before downloading any files. This way, you can be sure you have the latest virus descriptions which will help detect new viruses.

If you attempt to preview or launch a file, anti-virus protection powered by AVG Anti-Virus automatically scans the parts of the file that have downloaded.
